The Moscow Arctic Women’s Club, chaired by interregional public organization ‘Women of the Arctic’ Chairwoman Olga Starostina, held its opening event.
Elena Zlenko, the coordinator of the ‘Women for the preservation of the Arctic’ project of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum spoke about the development goals of the Arctic macroregion, the first female researchers of the Arctic region, and the quality of life and income of people living in the Arctic.
The Moscow Arctic Women’s Club was established to support the involvement of women and women’s organizations in the socioeconomic development of the Arctic territories and the preservation of the national and cultural traditions of the indigenous peoples of the North.
